Gold Price Calculator

Gold Price Formula

The gold price formula is price = weight × (karat ÷ 24) × 24K rate + making charges + tax. Tax applies to the metal value plus making charges.

metal = weight × (K ÷ 24) × 24K ratemaking = metal × making %price = (metal + making) × (1 + tax %)

How to Calculate Gold Price

To calculate gold price, multiply the weight by the purity and the 24K rate, then add making charges and tax.

  1. Convert the weight into the rate unit: 2 tola = 23.3276 g.

  2. Multiply by purity and rate: 23.3276 g × (22 ÷ 24) × 24K rate per gram.

  3. Add the making charge (for example 8%) and the tax to get the final price.
